Title: SIAP: SEC is Mizzou's second option
Post by: cbbama99 on October 05, 2011, 03:03:54 PM
Sounds to me like a school that wants no part of the Texas and Everybody Else Conference, preferred the Easy Road to the BCS Conference, but is settling with the I Guess We'll Just Get Our Butt Kicked By Everybody Conference.

Yep, they would have preferred the Big 10.  Everyone knows that -- Mizzou tried to sell itself like a cheap hooker when the Big10 was looking to expand to 12 teams.  SEC offers the stability and money of the Big10, but there is a higher price of admission.

Have they received an official offer yet from the SEC?

I think it is more in the "we want to join" stage. No official offer yet that I am aware of.
