This is two years old (he said that in the locker room celebration after the 2019 game).

As for all the disdain, Alabama has had plenty coaches that used that type of language in the locker room.  Coach Bryant was quite a potty mouth for his era, and Coach Saban lets them fly as well.   In the end, he was just celebrating with his players.

That's right.  In fact, I spoke with a guy that actually played for the Bear and he said that Bear wouldn't hesitate to call certain players the "N" word in the locker room or practice field.

A good friend of my brother's (he had a student job in the athletic dept) tells a story from the 60s where Bear was getting a lot of complaints from the players' mothers about the language coming from the sideline.   Apparently back then the families got tickets right behind the bench.   Bear decided to institute a "swear jar" into practice and anyone in violation owed a dollar.  He told the guy responsible to even charge the coaches.   During one practice, Bear climbed down from his tower, handed the guy with the jar a $100 bill, and told him to keep his tab running.

Exactly, Coach was from a day that a "gentleman" didn't curse around women, but he let them fly when it was him, coaches and players.

But he'd have been roasted a lot in today's age of social media, cameras all around, and very little privacy.   Sometimes I think we fool ourselves on that.

It's not so much the language to me, but the message he is putting out there about beating Bama in all areas.
