Both assistant coaches tested positive for COVID-19 last Wednesday, head coach Nick Saban announced. They both had “very mild” symptoms but were isolated at home during the Crimson Tide’s playoff preparation in Tuscaloosa last week before Christmas. O’Brien and Marrone are still expected to coach in the semifinal game against Cincinnati on Dec. 31. Alabama had had three days off for the holidays, and its players were allowed to travel home to spend time with their families prior to the College Football Playoff. The Crimson Tide will hold its first practice in the state of Texas this afternoon, where Saban will have a better grasp of where things stand after the break. As of now, no UA player has tested positive of COVID...
