Granted, Bryce through that interception because the pass was a little behind him, but his hands were on the ball and should have pulled it in. To me, this was a boring game. ULM was a weak opponent and did not challenge Bama enough to prove anything. It's good that a lot of guys played and I hope some of the guys who got time in the OL will help coaches find a better combination. The O was ho-hum. WRs couldn't consistently get open and Bryce missed on some long throws. Overall play calling was same old-same old except for a couple of slants and shorter routes. Play design remains unimaginative. Gotta hope there is more in the playbook that we will bring out against tougher SEC teams. RB show a lot of promise but OL has got to give them openings to run through. OL still a work in progress. At its current level of play, OL will get pushed around by stronger teams. D played pretty well but DBs didn't get really tested. Maybe we learn a little something about our team vs. Vandy. |
