Title: It's now a one-game season for Crimson Tide, and that one already has begun Post by: Coach Hank Crisp on October 06, 2011, 04:11:39 PM Quote http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2011/10/its_now_a_one-game_season_for.html#incart_hbx (http://media.al.com/sports_impact/photo/fluker-asks-for-flag2-almondjpg-4041643e3a936f40.jpg) Floating like a butterfly, Fluker shuffled a step or two back, and the punch badly missed. Bostic was penalized for a personal foul. "In boxing, you never know when you have a good fighter until the guy gets hit, gets staggered, and you see how he takes a punch," Saban said. Already the Tide has beaten title contenders comparable to Sonny Liston or Joe Frazier. George Foreman is a month away. But before top-ranked LSU visits second-ranked Alabama on Nov. 5, the Crimson Tide will face Vanderbilt (3-1), Ole Miss (2-3) and Tennessee (3-1)? Is one a potential Leon Spinks, or are these three punching bags? Could Vandy be the best of the three? How much of the playbook should be saved for when it matters most? How many yet-unseen plays and formations, blitzes, coverages, schemes and personnel groupings does the Tide want to show to give LSU more to see and prepare for, perhaps diverting the Tigers from better preparation? The biggest game will end on Nov. 5, but it already has begun. There are BIG upsets every year to some big favorite that was looking ahead rather than taking the next game in hand.
Ask CNS who the biggest game on their schedule is. Roll Tide!!! |
