Title: Alabama Softball Team 28 Post by: pmull on February 10, 2024, 08:40:44 AM Softball is off to a good start in Atlanta at the Georgia Tech Buzz Classic. Bama got off to a great start with Arkansas State Transfer Kayla Beaver pitching a 3-0 no hitter against Villanova. Game 2 was a 13-0 run rule win over Longwood. Torrance got the win in that game. Freshman pitcher Jocelyn Briski pitched all 7 innings in Game 3 win over Georgia Tech with 3-1 win. Both Beaver and Briski looked good in their Bama debuts.

Tech 5-1 yesterday, thanks to a grand-slam robbing catch that turned into a double play to save the game. It was originally thought to be a triple play, but after review, it was determined that the runner on second successfully tagged up to move to third. She scored on a sac. fly. A strike out ended the game. Exciting stuff!
