Title: "Flat No. 2 Tide gets on track, routs Vanderbilt" Post by: Chechem on October 09, 2011, 06:17:22 AM (http://assets.matchbin.com/sites/574/assets/FGDX_bama_vandy_fb07_tp.jpg)
A better title would have been, "Flat No. 2 Tide flattens Vanderbilt", but I didn't write this article. It is worthy of a read. Quote “This was the first time this year when I felt we were flat,” Alabama coach Nick Saban said. “We were that way in pre-game. We practiced well this week and prepared well for this game, but we just didn’t have the sense of purpose we need. http://annistonstar.com/bookmark/15978159?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+AnnistonStar%2FTideSports+%28Anniston+Star+Tide+Sports%29 Title: Re: "Flat No. 2 Tide gets on track, routs Vanderbilt" Post by: pmull on October 09, 2011, 08:02:37 AM I have heard a lot of college coaches (Gene Stallings for example) say it is difficult to get your team mentally ready for every game. If we come out flat and dominate Vandy and win 34-0 I can live with that.

And if you were CNS, you COULD NOT live with the way the team played Sat. USCe fans here in SC think they way you do, and look at their teams..no NC EVER! just my 2 cents, not getting down on ya. Everyone has flat games, but of the 3, I think Bama was more impressive in their flat game.

South Carolina fans beating up on you at the water cooler? 34-0 isn't enough blood. One QB out doesn't make you happy enough? Cowboy up, Nancy! Just my 2 cents,- not getting down on you.And if you were CNS, you COULD NOT live with the way the team played Sat. Title: Re: "Flat No. 2 Tide gets on track, routs Vanderbilt" Post by: Jamos on October 09, 2011, 04:49:15 PM Whew, I'm glad that game is over and yes I am proud of the way the team played the second half. As some of you have said,it's a given that all teams are going to have a flat games or games in a season. Bama has a history of coming off big games and play flat the next game if it is a weaker team and that is exactly what we saw last night the first half.
I think this game will help Bama this week as they prepare for Ole Miss next Saturday, they now know what flat is. None of us has ever said that Bama is a perfect team, but I'll say this though, they are a pretty darn good team. Roll Tide!!. ;) |
