By Daniel Foster UPDATED Two men have been charged in New York for “their alleged participation in a plot directed by elements of the Iranian government to murder the Saudi Ambassador to the United States with explosives while the Ambassador was in the United States,” according to a DOJ release (bold mine). One of the pair, 56-year-old Iranian and naturalized U.S. citizen Manssor Arbabsiar, was arrested at JFK airport, while the other, a member of the Iranian Qods Force (“a special operations unit of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) that is said to sponsor and promote terrorist activities abroad”) remains at large. |
