Title: Thompson, former Bama golfer, leads The McGladrey Classic Post by: Jamos on October 16, 2011, 10:12:17 AM Michael Thompson, former Bama golfer is leading The McGladrey Classic by one stroke going into the final round today. Thompson stands at -13 followed by Billy Horschel at -12.
Bud Cauley, another former Bama golfer, who is hoping for a good tournament this week is tied for 33rd at -4. If Cauley can maintain or improve his position today he has a good chance of earning his tour card without having to qualify through tournament play for it. This is a rare feat to accomplish with only a few golfers to ever have this.
