Title: Tide wins 68-44 Post by: SUPERCOACH on March 16, 2011, 02:06:34 AM Quote For the University of Alabama basketball team, the main fear Tuesday night was either complacency or distraction. The Crimson Tide didn't suffer from either one, overwhelming an undermanned Coastal Carolina team 68-44 to win in the opening round of the NIT. Next, Alabama will face New Mexico in Tuscaloosa at a time and day to be announced. This will get harder and harder. I said we would win it all so I still feel that way. RTR!

Quote TUSCALOOSA - The message has been sent, but this one wasn't from Alabama basketball players to the NCAA tournament selection committee that snubbed the Crimson Tide. This was from Alabama coach Anthony Grant to his players. This message? "He told us to turn the page," senior guard Senario Hillman said Tuesday night after starting and scoring 11 points in the top-seeded Crimson Tide's 68-44 victory over eighth-seeded Coastal Carolina in a first-round National Invitation Tournament game at Coleman Coliseum. Good article. The Tide punished the Coastal boys last night. Title: Re: Tide wins 68-44 Post by: Jamos on March 16, 2011, 06:09:05 AM I was glad to see the crowd that was there, wasn't bad for such a short notice game. Kudos to the team, they played with a lot of energy considering all that happened with the other tournament.

Title: Re: Tide wins 68-44 Post by: SUPERCOACH on March 16, 2011, 09:35:45 AM We will be hosting the next two as long as we keep winning. I'm not sure about the time table.

I have heard there home arena is one of the loudest and toughest places to play in the country. Title: Re: Tide wins 68-44 Post by: pmull on March 16, 2011, 10:38:14 AM Spanish for wolf. That sounds a little meaner than a rooster. I am glad we don't have to play them out there. I have heard there home arena is one of the loudest and toughest places to play in the country. I watched some of their game with UTEP last night. The place was packed. The seats are right on the floor. I was thinking at the time it would be a tough place to play. On the end lines they have painted in large letters "The Pit". I am glad we have them coming to CC. |
