I like being #2 right now. Gives us a chip on our shoulder.

I also like the #2 ranking.  To me, we can play to win instead of play to not lose.  If we win, the rankings will take care of themselves.

We could've survived being anywhere in the top 5 and still held our own destiny I think.  There's no way an undefeated SEC champion could be held out of the BCSNCG game this year.

Skip Bayless is on this BCS show now, huh. Well, OK then. Was he on this last year?

Skip Bayless is just another POS lawyer and writer that is in love with Jerry Jones and the Cowboys.

I knew he would trash Bama.   >:(

Seven times in 13 BCS seasons the teams that played for the national championship were in the top 4 of the first BCS standings.

LSU fans hate Bayless worse than we do--but we are rapidly closing.

So, the BCS poll just released was based on the Harris poll (1/3) from last week. The new one comes out tomorrow. This is going to continue week after week? Poor planning--I don't get it?

I don't know about the planning. I don't know why they have Skip Balless on.

I bet CNS liked him craping on Bama, for motivational reasons.

Quote
ESPN: LSU, Alabama top BCS standings

We still have to wait three weeks before we see Alabama and LSU clash on the football field.

But it shouldn’t come as a surprise that they kick off the first BCS standings this season staring at each other at the very top. The Tigers are No. 1 and the Crimson Tide are No. 2.

The drama comes if LSU beats Alabama, and then a one-loss Arkansas turns around and beats LSU in the regular-season finale. The Hogs are No. 9 in this first installment of the BCS standings.

In that scenario, with all three teams losing only to each other, the team ranked the highest in the BCS standings at the end of the regular season would be the one to go to the SEC championship game, and a one-loss SEC champion would probably need help then to work its way back into the top two of the final BCS standings.
