“We all know that we want to do things a certain way and we want to be able to keep our poise throughout the ballgame, too,” Richt said. “I just think tempers were hot. It was a very heated ballgame, a very close ballgame, a very emotional ballgame for everybody. It was just a situation where I’m sure words were spoken and all that kind of stuff...

Apparently "chop blocking" isn't in his vocabulary.

I'm hoping the SEC takes some action towards this kind of stuff and then maybe the Universities will take some action on the language being used on the sidelines. The folks watching the games on tv shouldn't have to cover their kids ears and eyes.

"People in glass houses..."

I'm sure Coach Saban, the ultimate rule-follower, would clean up his sideline language if mandated.  BTW, I agree that it's time for something to happen; maybe stop using those parabolic mics and/or sound-capture discs on the sidelines.

Yes sir you are right. I also did not see the chop block as was previous stated. This is enough get players upset. I think it is becoming common place whether children are here or see or not, to not pay attention to them. Money has taken over and everybody is in a debt crisis. So that nasty talk is what makes a man big so it seems some think. GA won I can't see why they was upset. RTR!

Speaking of class, and this may have been discussed, did anyone see the human towel of a coach at AU do the gator chop?

Grantham told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution today that he regrets his actions:

Quote
“First of all, I love my players and appreciate their hard work and investment in our program.  I feel a responsibility and loyalty to protect and stand up for them.  However, I feel it’s important to educate them in all areas of life.  While my intentions were genuine, I feel it was unfortunate that things escalated to a confrontation.  However, I’ll use it as a learning experience for myself as well as my players so that we all become better men.”

SEC told both schools to file reports about incident.
