Title: "Lattimore out of Heisman race; done for the season"

In his postgame press conference, head coach Steve Spurrier hinted that the injury could be much more than a sprain.  Unfortunately, Spurrier was correct as the Ol’ Ball Coach announced Sunday that Lattimore suffered torn ligaments in the knee and will miss the remainder of the 2011 season.

Hate to see this for any player.  I know MW will join me in this sentiment.  :(

Maybe this particular injury was "flukish" but somebody posted on here 2 - 3 weeks ago that Spurrier was going to run ML into the ground.  Whoever said that was prophetic.

Stuff like this is why I was glad to see Trent on the bench in the entire 4th qtr.  Keeping my fingers crossed he gets through the UT game OK.

I remember that.  Conner Shaw is going to have to step up big time if they are to have any hope the rest of the way.  They still have Alshon Jeffrey and a decent D, but they need somebody that can get the ball to him.
