Title: Tide, Tigers don't give up the ball easily Post by: Coach Hank Crisp on October 18, 2011, 02:04:53 PM http://espn.go.com/blog/sec/post/_/id/30796/tide-tigers-dont-give-up-the-ball-easily
Quote It’s one thing to be the most talented team in the country. The same goes for being deep and experienced. Alabama and LSU are all three. But as they bear down on their Nov. 5 showdown in Tuscaloosa, Ala., both teams eyeing what would be a sixth straight national championship for the SEC, it’s worth noting that they haven’t forgotten the part of the game that can be the great equalizer. Taking care of the football. LSU has turned the ball over just three times all season; two fumbles and one interception. The Tigers’ last turnover came in the fourth quarter of the Mississippi State game the third week of the season. They’ve now gone 48 straight offensive possessions without a turnover. Alabama has an even longer streak going. The Crimson Tide have gone 50 consecutive offensive possessions without a turnover. The last time they coughed it up was the fourth quarter of the North Texas game the third week of the season. They haven’t thrown an interception in 77 possessions, dating back to the third quarter of the season opener against Kent State. We should be talking about GA or whoever is down the road for them I would think. RTR!
