Title: Basketball: High Expectations for Alabama

Alabama has been practicing for almost a week and while Grant was characteristically guarded about his reviews, Hankerson was more effusive.

"The thing I've noticed most is how much talent we have," Hankerson said. "J-Myke (senior forward JaMychal Green) looks great and we have Tony (Mitchell) and Trevor (Releford) and the six new guys are all good. We have a lot of talent on this team."

I hope this team can go through the preseason practices injury free and get off to a better start this season. The non-conference games just killed them last year and cost them their chance at the Big Dance.

We have a good pre-SEC schedule this year that has several high profile games. We need to win some most all of those big games and take care of business in the games we are supposed to win. This team has potential to not only make the NCAA Tournament but to get a 3 or 4 seed.
