Title: I got to thinking today...
Post by: hscoach on October 25, 2011, 07:06:23 PM
and I became a little disappointed in Bama.  I am disappointed because they let inferior teams, like UT, stick around and it cost the backups valuable playing time.  Don't get me wrong, I am glad Bama won the games.  However, it hurts Bama's future by allowing backup players to get quality game time.  This is just my opinion.

Agreed...also time they could be resting.

Good point.  It could save a lot of wear on the body.

Could've saved EL from aggrevating that turf toe.

Oh well. If he checks his e-mail he'll come back.

So...is there kind of a trade off between letting the team rest on blowouts and a team that is ready to go 4 qtrs. if they get into a dogfight of a game like Nov. 5 may be? This late in the season do you even worry about keeping a team conditioned or just trying to get them rest?

I think they will be ready.  I really haven't seen LSU, when I watch, sub that much.

I'm kinda looking for Bama to play a fast tempo game, seems like that is what they did out here two years ago when the LSU players were laying all over the field. Maybe somebody that has a better memory than me can remember.

I just hope they don't break the new rule in the big time games. If they celebrate to much they can take points off the board. I hope coach can get their attention about this one. RTR!

From what I am hearing, the seniors on the team have pretty much become the law of the team now so maybe that will help the celebrating stuff, but you are right, Bama doesn't need any of these senseless penalties.

I understand that the halftime discussion wasn't led by CNS last Saturday and it got REAL loud.

I've heard that too, and it wasn't the first time this year.  This is a very good sign.

CNS hasn't gotten over Auburn last year and I doubt that he ever does, but any team that he coaches from now on will hear about the final score of that game.

The Auburn score is posted in every direction you look in the dressing room.

I hope he never does.  I want to beat them 98-0 from here on out.

After what happened last year, I bet he doesn't ever take his foot off the gas even if we get a big lead.  And nobody can ever accuse him of running up the score, since he can always say they always find a way to come back.  Not a good situation to be in if you are Auburn.

He takes every negative to create a positive. That's why he teaches these young men to look for that silver lining in every bad cloud, it's there you just have to look a little harder sometimes.

At least CNS pulls his starters in the fourth quarter when he knows the competition has quit.  Can't say the same for lester

Is it posted in Saban's office and bathroom? That's where it needs to be posted the most.

I'm glad that the program is to a point that these are the things we have to complain about now versus just a few years ago.  These are good times for Bama fans.

Or maybe 35-21 the USCe game score. That was when the 2010 train ran off the track.
