Title: "SEC previews and predictions: Week 9" Post by: Chechem on October 26, 2011, 05:51:24 AM Quote FLORIDA vs. GEORGIA (Jacksonville, Fla.) Jeff Brantley should be back, at least in a limited role, as Florida’s quarterback this week, meaning the Gators at least have a shot against Georgia. The Bulldogs haven’t exactly been setting the world on fire recently, barely beating Mississippi State, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. But the Bulldogs have a lot to play for. First of all, there is the issue of saving their coach’s job. Secondly, one more conference loss by a vulnerable South Carolina team and Georgia controls its own destiny in the race to get back to Atlanta. Florida has scored a total of 27 points over the last three weeks thanks to injuries at the quarterback position, and Will Muschamp needs a statement win in his first season at the helm in Gainesville. This would certainly qualify as much, but with Brantley still hobbled, beating Georgia might be too much to ask. Maybe his heart's not in it during the bye week. His 24-20 UGA pick is certainly on the line, but UGA should win handily. I picked UF just because ... well, it seemed unlikely and I need to start taking chances on my picks. :( Title: Re: "SEC previews and predictions: Week 9" Post by: BAMAWV on October 26, 2011, 06:27:57 AM This guy pretty much just went with the Vegas lines, except that he seems to like Arky over Vandy a little better. They hunt down that one or two games where they feel they have a chance-- some kind of edge. I thought you might be someone who would sneak up behind me with a gun." Now you know why I don't gamble (for money). I know little about the strategy, and I suck at it. ;) |
