Title: "LSU, Alabama top BCS standings" Post by: Chechem on October 30, 2011, 08:33:04 PM Quote Stanford's first win of the season against a ranked team helped Andrew Luck and the Cardinal move up in the BCS standings. While LSU (8-0), Alabama (8-0) and Oklahoma State (8-0) remained locked into the top three spots in the standings released Sunday, Stanford moved up two places to fourth after beating Southern California 56-48 in triple overtime. Is their schedule any tougher than Houstons?

Title: Re: "LSU, Alabama top BCS standings" Post by: cbbama99 on October 30, 2011, 09:25:41 PM Anybody catch the BCS show on ESPN tonight? They talked with some goober at the LA Times who is the only AP voter that is naming Boise State as the #1 team. This guy goes on and on about how you have to look at BSU body of work over the last few years (including their Fiesta Bowl win over OU and their win over UGA this year) and that he doesn't buy the weak conference argument because that no longer holds true. Weed is legal in California, and this guy must have the worst case of glaucoma in the free world b/c is smoking a lot of the stuff.
Title: Re: "LSU, Alabama top BCS standings" Post by: Jamos on October 30, 2011, 09:26:57 PM It's sad but that is the shady side of the media and college football and with no way to fix it. There is no way Boise St should be in the top 10 much less 5th.

Title: Re: "LSU, Alabama top BCS standings" Post by: Jamos on October 31, 2011, 07:18:20 AM I put Houston in my poll just to show the disparity of the voters between Boise St and Houston. Houston and Boise St basically have the same type of schedule (very soft) but there is a big difference in the way the two teams were voted on by the pollsters and it seems to be that way every year for Boise St. I know, I'm beating on a dead horse with this but the bias voting is the reason for being unable to find the real NC in college football. :deadhorse:
I think those two teams would be a great matchup for a bowl game. |
