There must some botanist at Aubrun, at least one.  The live oaks on my property in Fairhope look just like that summer vs winter.

Here my two cents. The barn has learned all about timing. Imagine this, the barn sitting at home doing nothing, going nowhere. So who cares, right? Bama is fixin’ to play in the most anticipated game of the year, at home. Bama can’t give out enough press passes and it’s become THE place to be for anybody who’s anybody. Sad.  It is embarrassing for an ag school to have to send samples off to Ms State for testing.  Now they are shocked that a tree has more leaves in summer than winter?  TOO MUCH.  Auburn, I can't with you...I just CAN'T!!!

Guess who I met with (with whom I met) today?  The Booger botanist in charge of the Toomer's Oaks. 

I'll save details until later, but it was VERY entertaining.  I asked about the stupid photo of the trees (summer vs winter), and she said it was never supposed to be an indication of tree demise.  "Then what?"  She said the trees will be dead by spring, won't bud out, so they wanted to post photos of them now (week of LSU game).  "RIGHT."

Lots more detail, but we'll save it for a calmer time.  1 day, 2 hours, 16 minutes to go.  :o
