TUSCALOOSA | In a 9-6 overtime game, four failed field goal attempts were an easy target as fans and pundits alike tried to assign cause for the University of Alabama's loss to LSU Saturday.

Kicker Cade Foster missed attempts from 44 and 50 yards in the first quarter, and after converting a 46-yarder in the third quarter, missed from 52 in overtime. Jeremy Shelley, who typically handles shorter field goals while Foster attempts longer tries, converted from 34 yards in the second quarter. Later in the game, Shelley attempted what would have been the longest field goal of his career -- 49 yards -- only to have it blocked.

Hello fans, listen up because the players are trying to tell all of us something, "all for one, one for all".  #+

That is great.  I honestly look for Cade to make a comeback now.  I think he has clearly had a mental/performance anxiety type of issue ever since he came to Bama.  Now that he has gotten his "bad game" out of the way it might take some pressure off of him and let him relax a little, which could make all the difference in the world.  He no longer has to worry about what will happen if he misses a bunch of FGs in a game that we could have won if even one of them had gone through.  That is exactly what happened, and the sun still rose on Sunday morning.  And now he sees that his team has his back.  Letting go of that fear of failure could free him up to be the Cade that we all expected when he committed.  Maybe.
