Title: MSU game
Post by: bama87 on November 10, 2011, 12:36:34 PM
Now that all the fallout from PSU is over. We need to collectively refocus on this week's mission, MSU.
I hope the team shows up mad as hell and takes it all out on the dawgs. Beatdown, let's hope.

If the players want to earn their credibility back with the poll/voters then they will go out and kick butt.  I don't really listen to Lou Holtz a whole lot, but what he said the other day makes a lot of sense.

In the games you can fool the coaches, cheerleaders, fans, and family.  However, you can fool yourself when you know you didn't give 100%.  It all come down to you and your inner self.

I can't think of anybody on our team that didn't give his best. We all make mistakes in decisions but I think our guys played their best. LSU just wanted more at this time than we did. RTR!

Mental mistakes is what caused Bama to loose the game against LSU. Hopefully Bama has put the last game behind them but you never know until the game starts.

Not saying they didn't down their best.  I am just saying they need to make sure they don't have side effects (Utah) and let this next game slip away.

Once they give 75% and get away with it, it seems it makes it easier to do the next time. The Tide needs to set the tone for the rest of our season with a resounding, crushing defeat of MSU. Easier said than done. I am not afraid of losing, but barely getting by is unacceptable if they hope to get another chance at the NC.

I got you hscoach. I didn't think you meant they didn't but I am sure there was some slow reaction times. They were mentally as well as physically wore down. Yes sir, I seen times being all day and night when I was in the Army and you couldn't think straight although you still done your job but would catch winks when you could. They really do if CNS will let them, beat down these last 3 teams especially that last one. RTR!

I have it on good authority that the team is highly pissed and chomping at the bit to put a beatdown on Cowbell U.

The team suffered a tough loss to a very good LSU team last week. I still think this team is special and will play like it Saturday night. I would not want to be in MSU shoes. I think CNS and staff will have them ready to play and get us back on track to finish this year strong. The team can not control what the other BCS contenters do but they can beat the hell out of the next three teams they face and that is what I expect them to do.

Roll Tide

Thanks Ricky. I used the other word for emphasis but I like your version better. We are going to beat the "healthy living" out of them.

pumped for the game.  as y'all might remember, I'm married to a state grad.  My 4 year olds will Roll Tide and ring the cowbell.  My 7 year old is starting to not like Alabama because we beat people too much (the kid loves CHarlie Brown and is a fan of the underdog since birth).  He also tells me I'm trying to trick the twins into rooting for Alabama.  I can't help it if it's funner to say ROLL TIDE!  I'll work on getting his self esteem up to the point where he feels he can be a bama fan.  Y'all  for the kid.   :D

I've told little kids that Jeff Gordon hates Santa Claus. "He doesn't want you to get toys". Hope this helps.

I guess if you are too hard headed to marry a Bama fan MSU would not be that bad of a choice. What have they beat us, maybe twice in your lifetime. However, I am concerned about your kids. They deserve better than a cowbell.
