Title: Alabama prepared for physical Mississippi State
Post by: pmull on November 12, 2011, 06:48:09 AM
Success against Mississippi State (5-4, 1-4 SEC) isn’t guaranteed. Players on both sides of the ball say the Bulldogs are practically synonymous with tough, physical football.

“They’re always physical,” senior center William Vlachos said. “They always have good defensive lines. I think that’s kind of one of their trademarks, always.”

“Mississippi State always plays us strong and physical,” senior nose tackle Josh Chapman said. “It’s just another battle of Alabama vs. Mississippi. … When those guys hear those cowbells ringing, that’s when they get their edge. But we’re pumped, too.

“Cowbells are a country thing, and it’s country time. They have a great offensive line. Those guys are big, strong country guys. (Right guard Quentin) Saulsberry, my boy down there, he’s always been a hard guy to go against in my five years here.”
