"The award, which is presented annually by the Fort Walton Beach-based organization, is given to the Football Bowl Subdivision player that best combines exemplary community service with academic and athletic achievement."

It has also been announced that CNS will be the guest speaker at the banquet.  Here's hoping it is an all Bama night!

I hope Barrett wins. He is a fine young man and a heck of a football player.

Barrett has represented the U of A with dignity, honor and compassion. He will step into the NFL as a great player, but he will step into life as a Blessed man who is there to help others. God Bless Barrett, RTR!

Let's see:

- Graduated with a 4.0 GPA in accounting in 3 years
- All-American in his sport (that has played all 5 positions on the line)
- Spends his spare time volunteering in Haiti

Nah...he doesn't have a shot.

They should rename the trophy after him.
