Title: Alabama High School Reclassification Alignment Post by: pmull on November 17, 2011, 08:40:59 AM Every two years the AHSAA reclassifies all state high schools and places them into regions. The new classifications and regions for 2012-2014 has just been announced. If you follow high school sports you may want to take a look and see if your school is affected. The 6A classification for Birmingham and North Alabama looks totally different than the past two years.

Looks like my boys from TCHS are going to be in the same region with Hoover next year. Bob Jones has been the largest HS in the state for several years. They will take a lot of Bob Jones students (athlectics) and share the football facility. I live in Huntsville and have never heard that name. So they're splitting BJHS into two 6A schools. Wow...BJHS was huge. I think they just offically named it. It opens up next school year.
