The decision involves more than just him. He needs the money and I want it for him. But it is fun to imagine how great he would be.

I think Ingram said something similar to this last year. For selfish reasons I hope he stays. In reality he needs to go pro. He will set himself up for life. I think he has two very young daughters and he needs to think about their future. In the words of $cam Newton  "the money is to much".

He needs to go pro, but the way he is talking I'm not sure if he will or not any more.  Can you imagine if he came back?  Wow!

MFBATR could demand the same and receive it.

No doubt, my selfish side wants TR back again next year. I just worry that if he did, something could happen to affect his draft status (i.e. injury or subpar season), although the latter seems improbable. I think he needs to go and get the money now and not risk another season that could cost him money in the next draft.

I've seen where these guys buy insurance. Lloyds of London--but the premiums are beyond his reach.

Too funny BAMAWV! Would love to have him back, but he needs to go pro.

We all know he's going pro, too much money is involved.

I feel the same way I did with Ingram...I'm extremely grateful for the time he has given us and while it would be fun to see him stay, it's not worth him missing his chance to provide for his daughters for life (if he is smart and manages his money!).    The only thing I can see making him want to stay is if he doesn't win the Heisman and wants to try for that next season. 

Trent is by far the best rb in football and I love the way he plays but he should leave and take care of his family.

I'm with you, 55.  Anybody heard TR address that statement recently?  I think it's the "nother" part that bothers me.  Maybe he should stay for further studies.

This makes the second time in the last month that he's made a statement implying that he plans to return.  Ultimately I don't think he will, but he's probably just trying to keep focus off the decision and enjoy the team's success right now.

One thing for sure, he put a  lot of mouths to watering with that statement but it is good to see nobody would him guilty if he did leave. I think that is purely Alabama family support. RTR!

BATR said on Palmer & Pollock today that he'll get with his coaches and mother when the season is over and discuss what would be best for him. I think we all know what that will be.

Trent clarifies his statement...will talk to Coach Saban and his mother. 

I'll take anything he gives us as a possibility.  I'm thinking 0% chance he returns.  Anything more is gravy.
