Title: Alabama Basketball moves up to No. 12 in both polls
Post by: pmull on November 28, 2011, 01:12:38 PM
Alabama moves up on spot to No. 12 in both polls. Five SEC teams are ranked this week with Kentucky No. 1. Florida (10, 11), Vandy (19, 20) and Miss State (21, 24) are the others. Thursday's oppontent, Georgetown, is not ranked but they received votes and would be rated 30th in the AP and 34th in the coaches poll.

I'm surprised they aren't ranked higher, they beat #8 Memphis in their last game and have only lost one game and that was to #14 ranked Kansas. Bama can gain a lot of poll momentum if they they can beat the Hoyas. RTR!!!

I was surprised they were not rated too. I watched the second half and OT of the Memphis game and they look good to me. A win over a Big East team will look good on our resume.

Georgetown is always a tough, physical team. Should be a great game.

Man, I don't believe it can get much more physical than the game last night, I just knew Green would would end up ejected from the game but he was cool like he needs to be. I looked up at the scoreboard and Green had one foul and Releford had four and I thought' there is something very strange here, usually it's the opposite.

That's true. It seems like most of the fouls called on JG are quick whistled, ticky tack fouls. I hope that's not the case against Georgetown.

I am so happy, we have our BB program back on track. I think we are going to see better days than when we had Coach Sanderson and we was good back then. RTR!
