Title: "Tide continues preparation during week of uncertainty" Post by: Chechem on November 29, 2011, 04:40:33 AM Quote TUSCALOOSA — There was no 1:15 p.m. game-planning meeting in Tuscaloosa on Monday. The practice field was vacant at 3:30. Day 1 of what coach Nick Saban called “limbo week” for the Alabama football team began the physical and mental test that separates champions from the others. The No. 2 Crimson Tide won’t play in Saturday’s SEC Championship and its final postseason fate remains a mystery until Sunday evening. http://annistonstar.com/bookmark/16586203?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+AnnistonStar%2FTideSports+%28Anniston+Star+Tide+Sports%29 :dunno: :dunno: Title: Re: "Tide continues preparation during week of uncertainty" Post by: Jamos on November 29, 2011, 06:37:14 AM Bama was really in need of some "heal up" time, these last few games have really been hard on the team injury wise. We can all see how important depth is to the team this year because the team has had some key multi-game injuries but have been able to play through them without much of a drop off of talent. It's been a very long time since I've seen the team enjoy this luxury.

Vlachos is quickly becoming my favorite player interviews. I heard him tell a semi-circle of media around him, "I like some of you guys" when asked about his almost dismissive attitude with the press.

He said they will stay in football shape with conditioning drills, etc. He went on to say they would hold 14-15 practices before the bowl game starting just before the Christmas break.
