My gut feeling is that if Urbane tries to run his gator spread at tOSU it won't work as well. In time it will become clear just how much of his success was due to having St. Tebow. But what will be really interesting to watch will be how the arrest rate in Columbus compares with what happened in Gainesville. His spread was successful at Utah and at UF. What killed UM was losing Cam Newton, who could run the spread as well as Tebow, and having to go with John Brantley, a pro-style QB. Everything about UF was recruited and developed for the spread and then there was Brantley. It was oil & water. UM will try to do the same at tOSU, but it won't happen overnight if at all. I'm like you, I don't think tOSU is ready to embrace the spread offense. |
