Personally I would have waited another year or two to see how it is going but Vandy knows a successful coach will bolt for another opportunity at the drop of a hat. I guess they are doing what they can to keep him.

Alabama tried to do same with Fran, offering a large contract upgrade in August before 2002 season. I would love to see Vandy no longer being the nerdy kid in class who does the other kids homework. I'm a sucker for an underdog..as long as they never beat Bama :)

Fran the Fink and fat azz Weiss were established successful coaches at the time. Franklin is trying to make a name for himself. Big difference. |
