Unsurprisingly, Alabama put five players on the AFCA All-America Team: Trent Richardson, Barrett Jones, Dont'a Hightower, Mark Barron and DeQuan Menzie. Alabama's five selections were the most of any school (Wisconsin and Oklahoma State both had three players selected. In other accolades, Trent Richardson was named Associated Press SEC Offensive Player of the Year. Menzie made All American but not All SEC.
