In a perfect world, Alabama's Trent Richardson and LSU's Tyrann Mathieu would both be awarded big bronze trophies Saturday night. But in the imperfect world we live in, the Heisman should go to Trent Richardson. If the ESPN experts are to be believed, the Heisman this year will go to the player who performed best the last week of the season and had the catchy name: RG3. It sucks.

I'll agree that RG3 has played some great ball this year, but neither he, nor anyone else, has been more consistently spectacular than MFBATR. If you want to look at one game, Oklahoma hung 52 on Texas and they only lost 3 games. I thought Heisman was about who contributed the most to their team's success. He has made some dirty plays and he wasn't contirbuting at ALL when he was suspended. The suspension was his SECOND time coming up for drugs, btw...it is LSU policy to only suspect after 2 or more times getting caught. Makes me sick because if you take character into account, Cam the webcam watchin-laptop stealin- sidelines idiot acting fool shouldn't have gotten it. Drug use is a totally different matter. Then given permission to play by the NCAA in the Atlanta kickoff classic. I don't recall if they were actually suspended or not. |
