I'm starting to wonder why Kirby Smart is still at Alabama.  Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to have him.  I just wonder why he is not motivated to go somewhere.  I am sure he could find a job as a HC elsewhere at this point.  I know he supposedly interviewed at A&M, but honestly that could have been a chance to build his interview skills or a smokescreen to make people not ask why Kirby isn't interviewing.

Long story short: I think Saban could be gone after the natl champ. game.  I'm not saying he's going to Penn State or Texas...he could be planning on going to Lake Burton.  He just seems a little different this year...a little more relaxed.  I know sometimes when I make a big decision it takes a weight off my mind and makes me more relaxed. It makes me wonder if Kirby is not waiting to see if he can take the reins at UA.  I hope whenever Saban's time comes, whether it's now or in 10 years, we can wish him well and be thankful for putting Bama back on top and not pine away and be bitter about it like a lot of LSU fans (who have a great coach and should not be so bitter about Saban). 

I kind of thought he'd stay with Bama since his daughter goes there, but who knows.  Either way, life will go on. 

You're right. You're paranoid. JK. I don't think CNS is going anywhere. CKS is still a young coach and doesn't have to go anywhere any time soon. JMHO

Personally I think it would take a heck of a coaching job for Smart to leave CNS at this moment. From hearing him speak at some events, he is very dedicated to CNS, plus there is a major event coming up January 9th that I don't thing KS wants to miss. Now seeing that McElwain has turned down the Freso St job, there's a good chance the whole coaching staff will be intact for the NCG.

I'll be glad if the entire staff is on board for Jan 9th..I'd just like to see the kicking game stepped up a notch or two.

Been out of the loop for about 24 hrs.  Didn't know CJMc had opted out of Fresno St job.  IMHO, will all the mess going on in college FB, I think the Bama coaches know they are in a good spot, and it will take something very attractive to get them to move.  More than just $$$.

Kirby will eventually go but I hope he goes to a place where he can be successful.
