Title: Pitt Coach Todd Graham Leaving For Arizona State Post by: pmull on December 14, 2011, 02:12:37 PM Graham told his Pitt team via text he was going to Arizona State. This could effect Bama because of the quote below.
Quote Bama linebackers coach Sal Sunseri, a former All-American at Pitt, was considered one of the leading candidates for the position last year before the hiring of Graham. Look for him to be in the mix again this year. With McElwain headed to Colorado State, you may now consider this unwanted distraction #2 leading up to the BCS Championship Game. http://www.rollbamaroll.com/2011/12/14/2635924/pitts-players-were-informed-in-a-statement-from-graham-that-was-sent Title: Re: Pitt Coach Todd Graham Leaving For Arizona State Post by: bama87 on December 14, 2011, 02:15:06 PM Another link. I'm not sure they go after Sal, with his son at QB.

I think Bama is focused on this game regardless of who their coaches are. If CSS ends up being the Pitt coach, I hope he does well. Also, it doesn't sound like he had much of a feeling for his players. he's from the West, so I'm sure he is happy to return to that region of the country. I think Pitt left a bad taste in his mouth. This will be his fourth HC job in 6 years. :popcorn2: Title: Re: Pitt Coach Todd Graham Leaving For Arizona State Post by: Marshal Dillon on December 14, 2011, 06:49:50 PM Graham told his Pitt team via text he was going to Arizona State. Didn't Ole Miss try that with Ed Orgeron? He was an outstanding D-line coach but was lost as HC. ??? He just couldn't do anything come game time. Title: Re: Pitt Coach Todd Graham Leaving For Arizona State Post by: Chechem on December 14, 2011, 08:52:37 PM ... You know, it's funny about Orgeron, he was a good recruiter, even at Ole Miss. He just couldn't do anything come game time. Orgeron is a strange bird. I'm sure he has some sort of weird learning disability. He's mega-hyper and a poster-child ADHD, but it's more. No way he could be successful as a HC unless he mellows about 99%. |
