Title: NFL MOCK DRAFT-THE SPORTING NEWS
Post by: Marshal Dillon on December 14, 2011, 08:40:14 PM
Very interesting mock draft, but stunning for some of the Tide players NOT in the first round. Hey Chech, check out who the first CB is taken in the draft.

With the NFL regular season in its home stretch, the draft order for the 2012 draft is becoming more clear.

Even though Archie Manning expressed this week that his son and Andrew Luck couldn’t co-exist in Indianapolis—though he backtracked the next day—the reality is that Colts vice chairman Bill Polian can’t be concerned about that. He has to be focused on the long-term future of the Colts.

Over the last month, it has become clear that scouts believe the top three quarterbacks in the draft will be Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III and Matt Barkley (assuming all three come out early). At this point, however, there are concerns about whether Oklahoma’s Landry Jones is a high first-round pick.

With three teams (Cleveland, Cincinnati and New England) having two first-round picks, we have a feeling there will be more movement within the first round than there has been in recent drafts

The NFL is always looking for players ready to step in and make an immediate impact. BATR will have little trouble adjusting to NFL speed defenses. DK is a CNS disciple and complicated defensive schemes will be manageable to him. I disagree that 2 Alabama LBs will be available in round 2. I say all 5 go first round and ALL 5 will be ahead of that poser from BC.

I definitely agree. There's no way DH and CU don't go in the first round. Preposterous!

They really think there will be 5 LB's taken before Donta or Courtney?   No Barrett Jones either.  6 OL's picked and no mention of the Outland winner?  None of the OL's have Barrett's range of experience on the line.  With 53 man rosters, players with multiple capabilities are very valuable.

Hopefully it means Barrett and Dont'a are staying for another year!  Courtney,  :dunno: ; these NFL owners aren't known for brains.

I would hate to see TR wind up in Cleveland but I guess it's better than Buffalo. I'm not impressed with this mock draft, no Upshaw or Hightower and no Morris Claiborne. All 3 will be in the first round.

Somewhat bizzare, isn't it? I wonder if Barrett Jones is coming back and has already told the NFL he's staying his senior year?

 ???

I heard something the other day about Barrett coming back, but I have no idea how reliable it was.

Wouldn't surprise me given his family's financial condition and his smarts.
