Title: Daily Reading 12/20/11 From all filthiness
Post by: ricky023 on December 20, 2011, 09:32:14 AM
"2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God."

Satan tricks many people today by making them think they will become a religious fanatic if they live a holy life. They want to see how close to the world they can live. They do not necessarily want to drink, but they will go to a pub, sit with their friends, and sip ginger ale so no one will know the difference. Why can't they just go ahead and be holy? Why don't they just take a stand for Jesus Christ?
Jesus says in Revelation 3:15-16, "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of My mouth."  He would rather have us on the wrong side of the fence than sitting on the fence!

Lord Jesus we thank you for your thoughtfulness of cleansing us when we are filthy. Father please touch the sick and afflicted, and the widows and orphans. Protect our men and women who are standing tall for our country. May their families find seats at tables filled this Christmas. We love you Lord and Honor you with our walk. IN the name of Jesus I pray. AMEN
