Tonight is a pivitol game for each team as both have fallen on hard times lately and are in need of a victory. Bama has lost three of their last four games and Oklahoma State is currently riding a two game losing streak. Bama is sporting an 8-3 record while Oklahoma State is at 6-3, so tonights game could be a very intensly fought game and this is what I expect.

Bama hasn't been too sound fundamentally of late as turnovers, terrible long range shooting, and missed free throws have really turned this team into a very average team compared to the lofty #15 ranking they were enjoying two weeks ago. In most cases it is mental breakdowns that causes these problems and hopefully Bama can improve in all of those categorys tonight and come home with a win.

I'll be there to cheer them on and hopefully all of you that can't make the game will be watching it on tv. Roll Tide!!  :clap:

23-9 Bama and we have hit 4/5 on 3 pointers. Now if we can hit another 4 or 5 three pointers and keep our turnovers down, we can win this game. Releford out hurt, hopefully not very long.

JG would have missed 6 shots and committed 3 or 4 fouls.  TR is good for 4-10pts.--that's about it. High time CAG experimented a little with his offense,--even if it was forced upon him.

Alabama is looking like a balanced BB team tonight. It makes you think they are on a runaway course to win some. RTR!

Finally the freshmen live up to expectations and hit 3 pointers.  Bama led big, from start to finish.

Bama got a nice win last night. I was concerned when I learned Greene would not play. Finally got the outside shots to go down. The young guys looked the best I have seen them all year. Trevor Lacey is starting to show why everyone in the country wanted him. Jacobs is going to be a good player for us. He has a big body and can score around the basket.

I was at the game as well. Everybody stepped up last night. The only thing that concerned me was Bama intentionally slowing it down in the 2nd half. I wish CAG would let them run & gun a little more in the 2nd half. Detroit really closed the gap because of that and OSU did last night as well, with the lead shrinking to 9 at one point. I think Bama could have won by 30 if the reigns had not been pulled. Nevertheless, an impressive win. RTR!

I agree with 2 about the "momentum Killer" offense that Bama was running last night, But I also think that CAG found an opportune time to work on this part of their game that they will need sometime down the road. The team really struggled when they backed it out to utilize the full time allotment of their possesion but again, they haven't had the luxury of having this opportunity against a quality opponent.

One other thing that I noticed was the intensity of the play of the team, especially the young ones, when Green can't play. This was a different team last night than what we have seen the past 4 games. I still argue that Green can be a momentum killer with his anger tirades at very unopportune times and the sad part of this is, it doesn't have to be this way. I think he is a selfish player when he gets the ball in his hands and again, it doesn't have to be this way and shouldn't. I agree he has the best shot on the team at the 12-15 ft mark but there are so many times he will force the ball up there when he could have passed off.

Don't get me wrong, Bama needs Green, but they need him as a team player, one that is willing to share the ball with the other players and I think we saw last night as to what they are capable of doing. If Green can learn to play under control and play as one of five that is on the court, this team has some brighter days ahead but if he continues to play his selfish ways the team will have some tough games ahead because of his play. I think the team played more fast paced due to the absence of Green. He is a post player which involves a slower pace on offense and being our best scorer, may lead the younger players to stand around and wait on him to score. With him out, the younger players HAD to score. You see this in the NBA, players standing around waiting on the star player to score.

That needed to have been said. I've been hinting arounding at it but never came right out with it. Roll Tide, Jamos! Also noticing TM being frustrated with the freshmen learning curve. TM is the team's leader. He is the key to this years success. LR and NJ are key support roles (with TL and TR) for this years success and the future success of the program. 

We finally got a good look at Levi Randolp feeding TM on a breakaway steal. Levi stole the ball (?) and his head was down (off to the races). But his head popped up and the pass led Mitchell all in one SILK like move.  It was only 2 points but it went a mile in giving TM some trust in the new guys capabilities.  I hope that last night will lead to TM embracing (not just tolerating) the newest guys.  We can certainly use a guy of JG's athleticism and size to clean up the misses, but we can also do without them getting 6-10 points at the foul line and 15 extra shots off his misses. I think this may be the reason CAG has not completely given up on Engstrom.

ESPN must keep a template on each team for broadcasters to review before calling a Bama game (or any game for that matter).  Every TV game includes the announcer raving about Trevor Lacey and Jamychal Green. By the time SEC play begins-- Rodney Cooper, Nick Jacobs, Trevor Lacey, and Levi Randolph will be the support cast for Tony Mitchell.  Green will have to make adjustments in his attitude and playing style in order to "play himself" back into a key role.

If they want to go to the "Big Dance" and do well, they are going to have to adjust Green and let him get underneath for the offensive rebound putbacks, not playing out at the pointguard position. If Bama could do a little better on the offensive board, they could become dangerous.
