Title: Despite SEC's BCS dominance, plus-one model remains on Mike Slive's mind Post by: Yellow Pup on December 23, 2011, 11:10:06 AM Push Here (http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2011/12/despite_secs_bcs_dominance_plu.html)
"For the last six years, looking at it from our own prism, we were better off without it," Slive said. "The current format worked great for us. But I think the law of averages catches up over time." Title: Re: Despite SEC's BCS dominance, plus-one model remains on Mike Slive's mind Post by: Catch Prothro on December 23, 2011, 12:56:48 PM I don't know, Slive, with the plus-one system, the SEC would have had two teams (Bama and Florida) out of 4 for two of those years.

They are who kept MFBATR from winning the Heisman and they will be very influential with who the plus one and the others will be, if it actually comes to that. ESPN has become the mainstream media of the sports world.
