Title: Alabama spring football practice report: men in black jerseys
Post by: Chechem on March 21, 2011, 06:31:58 PM
TUSCALOOSA -- Alabama is on the field taking part in the first day of practice.

Crimson Tide safety Mark Barron was among those participating. He wore a black non-contact jersey and took part in drills. Barron is recovering from a torn pectoral muscle he suffered in a 28-27 loss to Auburn in November.

Barron, who announced in January he would return for his senior season, was arrested Sunday morning in Mobile for second-degree misdemeanor hindering prosecution.

Barron led the Crimson Tide with 75 tackles last season.

Alabama coach Nick Saban addressed the media at 6 p.m.
