1.   Ten days and counting down.  There is too much talk out of the LSU side about Bama shouldn’t be in the NCG, but even more telling is the talk about a split championship if LSU loses.   Sounds like they are expecting to lose.

2.   I love Bowl Season.  Sure some of the matchups are awful but then you get lots of non-traditional matchups, different styles and I just can’t get enough of it.

3.   Then there is Baylor vs Washington. I know that neither team believes in defense but it sure was fun, and I watched all the way to the end. I expect Nick Saban’s head would explode if Bama’s defense ever played like that.

4.   The NC State-Louisville game was the worst officiated game I have seen this year. The officials were so bad that I thought I was watching the Penn Wagers’ crew from the SEC.

5.   Penn State needs Nick Saban. Or maybe a Saban clone.  It essential that PSU gets a coach with integrity; that runs a clean program, and doesn’t tolerate bad behavior by coaches or players.  They also need someone who can recruit like crazy and plays tough, hard-nosed football.  In other words someone like Nick Saban. If PSU goes the trendy route and gets a coach who falls short on any of my criteria they will suffer for a long, long time.

All talk of a split championship will be forgotten by the time we stomp a hole in them.

LOL. Is that  chickspeak for "talkin' football"? I kinda know what you mean though-- I think.  I hang on every word with CGS, for example.

All I know is when Bama wins that game, they will be the ones holding up the crystal ball.

I haven't been following the talk out of LSU but you guys seem to suggest that there is some sense of "dread" from their end about playing us again.

Only way there's anything close to a split championship would be if Bama wins and AP keeps LSU #1 or ends up in a tie.  Really can't see that happening.

Rematches happen all the time in many sports: SuperBowl, NBA (to an extent), MLB lots.  Cardinals squeeked into the playoffs and went on to win the WS.

No squeaking involved here. Bama spent more time on the LSU side of the field than Otis in the Mayberry lock-up. Bama may have missed 6-8 FG attempts but scared the paint right off the uprights. Coonasses don't remember the game correctly because they spent half the game with their eyes shut, "I can no watch this, me!"

I expect the Clemson - West Viriginia game to break at least 80 points and wouldn't be surprised to see another 3-digit affair.

I believe this is the year of the "Crimson Tide". Then the world will say Oh No, they are back! RTR!
