Of course they probably would only play d for 3 plays before they gave up the TD, so he might have thrown it 50 times after all.

Also,in the SEC the DB's can play man to man defense and allow for blitzes. Their QB may have left the game like the last Little 12 QB Bama faced.

He's gonna throw it 50 times. We threw it 34 times. What the hell does he think throwing it 16 more times is gonna do, loosen them up for the run? We ran 69 plays and had the ball 10 minutes more than LSU. There ain't no way in blue hades that Okie State is gonna control clock and stop LSU's run offense. LSU only had 44 plays but against OSU they might have 44 in the first half. If he's throwing it 50 times it's because he's trying to catch up. They wouldn't beat LSU and sure as hell wouldn't beat us.
