That's actually true, I guess. They came up short on those drives because Messrs. Upshaw and Hightower and crew were stopping them in the backfield. So, in a sense, yes, they came up short on those drives. Oh and JJ, just a word of advice from this older guy to a youngster such as yourself: no woman ever wants to hear her man admit that he came up short on drives. HTH.

Duh! That's like saying "The only reason we lost is, we couldn't score more points than them".  :P

I think Jefferson must have been misquoted. I think he probably said something like" I think I played pretty good for a guy running for his life. See how well you can do with those Crimson Tide bad azzes trying to take your head off".

I wonder what the score would have been if he had played pretty bad.

You know how in the old Superman comics there was a Bizarro world, where everything is the opposite of the regular world? I think that is where JJ lives.

I need to watch the game again, but I think every one of their first half possessions had some sort of mistake that helped stop them.  Either a fumbled snap, or a motion penalty.  I think all of those mistakes were caused by either the linemen or the QB trying to play faster than they were capable, but they did help us a lot!

IMHO....every time the cameras showed JJ up close in the 2nd half, his facial expression looked like a 4 year old right before he burst out crying....dazed,confused,,frustrated........SCARED!

Like you I don't want to start rumors, but I heard there was a fight between JJ and T-Bob Hebert. Maybe that helps explaing Bobby Hebert's rant at the post game presser.
