Once again, a tremendous victory that we should be concentrating on is watered down by a lone individual that decides to act like a childish moron. The media does not have the spotlight on Bama's football team and it's great accomplishment - it is on one stupid individual, representing the entire fanbase, that did a despicable act on Bourbon Street. That of course led the media to bring up another moron, Updyke, and tie the two together to further downgrade our fanbase.

Note to ALL Bama fans: we all know that these two idiots are not representative of our great fans. However, we also know that opposing fanbases and the media will jump on these two isolated incidents to make us all look like morons. Please, in the name of all that is good and crimson, think about your actions before you decide to do or say something that makes us all look bad. I do not apologize for either of these people, because just because they might wear a Bama shirt does not mean they represent me or anything I stand for. I am angry with them because they are perpetuating a stereotype that others have of us that is simply ridiculous. I am also angry with those who will argue that, hey it's Bourbon Street and boys will be boys; or walk up to Updyke and ask for an autograph or take a picture with him. We all take pride in Bama and its fanbase representing class - let's make sure what we do and say falls into that category.

I agree with you..there are lots of idiot's in our fanbase..as well as the others SEC schools, and it is a da#@ shame.

The thing that bothers me the most is that the suspect is 32 years old! Jeez, grow up and act like a man. What an immature imbecile. Get a life.

The thing that bothered me the most was the store FULL of other Bama fans and nobody pointed out to the guy that he was an idiot or tried to stop it.  I had the sound turned off when I watched it, so i could be wrong about that.

On the other hand, when you have as many fans as Bama does, the odds are that you will have more idiots like this than other schools.

We southerners have to work twice as hard to get half the respect.   :(

Everyone conveniently forgets some of the best writers, musicians, athletes, and just plain old PEOPLE call the south home.

Well done Carl, and I would like to add to this, is that we need to pray for these people. Why? Because, they don't have respect for themselves much less anybody else. Pray for the future of college football, because without it, it will only get worse. RTR!

I personally hope Updyke and the this latest idiot do some hard time, and I think the "tea bagger" will. The idiots should be banned from Bama games and ostracized by Bama fans everywhere.
