Gundy's team was kept out of the national title game after a 37-31 loss to Iowa State in two overtimes. He's been vocal about his desire for a change in the current system and spent time before the ceremony discussing what he believes would be a better way to determine the national champion.

Gundy thinks there should be a two-game playoff for the top four teams with No. 1 playing No. 4 and No. 2 and No. 3 facing off before the winners meet for the title.

Well what I would say is lesser opponents, and he lost to a bad team, he did a great job taken out the Big 12 this year. He won't ever be a CNS though. RTR!

The SEC put the issue of a Plus One game on the table in 2004 after the barn was left out of the BCSCG. The Big 12 and Big 10 were the biggest opponents against the Plus One format. They had been getting their teams in. The shoe is on the other foot now. They can not even hold their conference together. They have gone from a respectible conference to a bunch of whining babies.

Good observation, R. I noticed during the NC celebration today that CNS looked tired, no doubt from heavy recruiting efforts this week.

Alabama coach Nick Saban, whose team beat LSU for the national title, was among the original finalists announced Dec. 14, but he was removed from contention because a scheduling conflict left him unable to attend.

What the local news reported last night on TV sounded like CNS took himself out of contention.

 Throwing Gundy a bone?

What award did Gundy win, well it's the Paul "Bear" Bryant Award and who did Bryant coach for, well none other than the University of Alabama. I'm so surprised that Gundy would accept anything that has ties to the U of A because of his whiney hatred for the school. He has done nothing but redicule the Bama program since he got "cheated" out of a chance to get beaten by LSU. Maybe he will buy himself a houndstooth hat so he can really show off how much he appreciates his award.  :dunno:
