According to multiple reports, the Bucs plan to hire Rutgers coach Greg Schiano if terms of a contract can be reached. Schiano was a surprise finalist for the Bucs job along with Mike Sherman and Panthers offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski. Tampa radio station 620-AM first reported that Schiano would be the Bucs' next coach. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the Bucs plan to hire Schiano if an agreement could be reached. He was a pretty good recruiter (Excellent by Rutgers standards), but doesn't strike me as a good X's & O's guy and there's no recruiting in the NFL. Plus, what coaching staff does he bring with him? From college or the NFL?

I would like for him to just fade away never to be heard from again. |
