Title: "Birmingham News Super Seniors: Tide has in-state edge, for now" Post by: Chechem on January 30, 2012, 05:50:18 AM Quote Ryan Anderson. Chris Casher. Reggie Ragland. Jaboo Winston. T.J. Yeldon. http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2012/01/birmingham_news_super_seniors_2.htmlAny local fan who follows college football recruiting knows those names. That's an alphabetical listing of Alabama's bluest chips and the top players in The Birmingham News' final Super Seniors ranking for the Class of 2012.... Someone tell Mr. Sentall, "It's over for the Boogs; done, finished (i.e., their ship has left the dock)." Title: Re: "Birmingham News Super Seniors: Tide has in-state edge, for now" Post by: Chechem on January 30, 2012, 08:31:48 AM I was listening to Sirius radio on the way to work today (Channel 91 - college sports). An Aub called in and said he was depressed over the decommits and lack of success this year (blah, blah...). They discussed the issues, noted that Cam was part of a 'Perfect Storm', and suggested that the Aubs are on a 3-year rebuilding program...
I felt sorry for the guy who called in. He was from Huntsville. Maybe he should flip to Bama. Title: Re: "Birmingham News Super Seniors: Tide has in-state edge, for now" Post by: 2Stater on January 30, 2012, 08:34:41 AM I was listening to Sirius radio on the way to work today (Channel 91 - college sports). This should be the barns time. Something has gone wrong for them along the way and we all know that something is CNS and the program he has built at Alabama. It is hard to win the in state battles when you are going up against Alabama and CNS. When your OC, DC, and top RB all vamoose, what player wants to come to, what they perceive, as a sinking ship. We get recruits from all over, like Florida, Georgia, Texas, Ohio, Michigan, and more. It seems Saban concentrates on the Top 10 players in the state and then goes national.
