Title: Tide's Trent Richardson has big shoes to fill
Post by: Terrie1959 on March 23, 2011, 02:03:00 PM

TUSCALOOSA – Yes, a Heisman Trophy winner was missing from the front of the line as Alabama’s running backs worked through individual drills during Monday’s practice.

Mark Ingram is gone, but there is great potential in this unit again being the strength of the offense. This spring, the others are lining up behind Trent Richardson.

“We’re big back there,” Richardson said after the first of Alabama’s 15 practice sessions this spring. “We’re just trying to figure out who’s going to fill in that spot.”

Good thing he does!  I have no doubt that he can fill the position with no problems - as long as he stays healthy.

Trent is Part of What made Mark a HTW. He pushed him so hard he had to keep going and going. Trent was the pusher now he is the man. We love Mark but it's time to let him go, Trent fills nobodys shoes but his own and he will be a monster.RTR!

I am really excited to see what TR can do when he is getting the majority of the carries. I know that EL will see his share as well, but TR will be the man this year. I imagine that he will be giving LBs and DBs coaches nightmares this season.
