I miss Ian Rapoport who wrote the RapSheet blog for the B'ham News a few years ago. He went back home and covers the Pat's now.
If I was looking for a Alabama beat writer I would talk to Cassagrande who is the Bama beat writer for several small papers and he already lives in Tusacaloosa.
