Title: OK the question that has been on my mind but I didn't want to ask..

Will Philp Sims stay? I think he is very talented, and could probably start at some schools.

Will he wait it out? Will he see where he stands after A day?
I couldn't see him beating out AJ now but there is always that possibility I guess.

It is a fair question. I have heard he is a team player who is ready to step up if he is needed. Otherwise he will keep practicing hard and wait his turn. At least that is what I hope he is doing. I like PS and I think we will be a very good QB for us if he is willing to wait. If he transfers he will lose a year and only have two years left so I think he stays.

In football, anything can happen, and something certainly will.

AJ just had shoulder surgery. For ordinary people, such procedures are always successful enough. For elite athletes, you never know. And then there is that attitude issue that we saw in 2010. A swollen head can get you benched as fast as a swollen shoulder. I think it would be smart to stay.

On a more personal note, I was on the field in the dome for the NCG, and right in the thick of the on field celebration after the game. If there was a fellow on the field that night with a bigger smile, and more bama pride,  than young Mr. Sims, I didn't see him.

I honestly don't know enough about the young man to say he will stay or leave. I do know that AJM had a better situation because Bama got leads that allowed him to get more back up time, behind GMac, than PS did.  This allowed AJ to be, in my opinion, further along in his development.  If Bama had put games away earlier and allowed PS to get into more game, then I think people would have a better guage on if he would stay or go.  This would also make him push AJ harder in the spring.  Competitors want to play.

Kinda hope he stays.  You never know when he has a Colt McCoy moment but I really would like for him to get a shot, too.
