Kirkpatrick was riding in the passenger seat of a car stopped for driving on the wrong side of the road. The car, driven former Alabama player Chris Rogers, was searched for drugs by a K-9, according to the report. Marijuana was found on the front passenger's floorboard at Kirkpatrick's feet, according to the report.

After being read his Miranda rights, Kirkpatrick admitted being in the car when drugs were being purchased, but according to the report he did not know drugs were being purchased. The report indicates Kirkpatrick was under the influence of drugs.

He used the Cam Newton defense. I did not know what my daddy buddy was doing.

Those drug charges from 2 years ago on Willie Nelson were dropped last year. Seems like the evidence came up missing.

A Texas State Ranger came on Willie's bus at a truck stop saying he smelled that terrible wacko weed. Found 6 ounces. Took the Red Headed Stranger to jail.

Some how it was lost or smoked up by Texas Rangers. Charges dropped.

Rogers probably told the police that the dope was his own and that Dre didn't know it was there. Since the car wasn't Dre's, the charges were dropped. JMO.

This will come back to haunt him in the draft:

The report indicates Kirkpatrick was under the influence of drugs.

I fear we are going to hear bad things about Dre when he plays in the NFL.

We can dance around the obvious here, but Dre was wrong to be in the car under those circumstances (assuming he knew).

Yes, his NFL contract will reflect this mistake, and it should.  Dre screwed up, and he'll get punished for it, albeit not by the courts.  :wall:

Kirkpatrick was a problem child for CNS during his whole career at Bama but he won't get that special attention in the NFL that Saban gave him to keep him between the straight and narrows. I agree, if he is to make it in the NFL, he better find himself some new friends and a good church somewhere.

When he signs the big NFL contract he will have more friends than he knows what to do with. Our concern is they will be the wrong type of friends. He needs to grow up quick and choose his friends wisely.
