Channeling his inner Gary Crowton, Auburn cornerbacks coach Phillip Lolley is leaving his position and going back into an administrative role in the program, the school announced on Tuesday.

Lolley was in his third year as cornerbacks coach under coach Gene Chizik. To some who chant “War Eagle!”, it may have been three years too many.

They could have demoted him to 1st and 2nd down CB coach and then hired a good 3rd down CB coach.  8)
